Come to Oakland Zoo for our annual Celebrating Elephants event! Family friendly activities will include exciting elephant stations such as touching gigantic pachyderm bones, holding an eleven-pound tooth, and stepping into an elephant-sized footprint. Grab binoculars and participate in a mock research camp where observers are invited to watch and record behaviors, and they can learn how to tell our four elephants apart. Plus, experience the once-a-year opportunity to tour the elephant barn and see an elephant up close.
Saturday, May 23 from 10:00am to 3:00pm
This event is included with regular Zoo admission . Elephant Barn Tours are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 16 years old. Tickets available at Flamingo Plaza and at the Elephant Exhibit. See additional information below for schedule.
