Spring Break ZooCamp

Group of ZooCampers Unsure what to do with your children during their school’s Spring Break? Send them to us!

Spring Break ZooCamp runs Monday - Friday during the Spring Break weeks most common among East Bay school districts. This year we are offering a one-day workshop on Monday, (April 3), and two-day workshops on Tuesday-Wednesday (April 4-5), and Thursday-Friday (April 6-7). Curriculum is designed so that campers can register for all five days without repeating activities. Participants must be currently enrolled in Kindergarten - 5th grade. Program hours are 9:00am - 4:00pm, with optional before and after care.

Programs for Spring Break 2017

One-day workshop: April 3
Two-day workshops: April 4-5, and April 6-7

Join us for a sampling of what our Summer ZooCamp program offers! During these mini workshops campers will tour the zoo, play games, sing songs, make crafts, and meet some animals up-close!

Program Fees

One-day workshop: $75.00 for current Oakland Zoo members / $80.00 for non-members

Two-day workshop: $150.00 for current Oakland Zoo members / $160.00 for non-members.

  • Before care is available from 8:00am - 9:00am for an additional $10.00 per day.
  • After care is available from 4:00pm - 5:30pm for an additional $15.00 per day.
  • Parking fees are waived for people dropping off or picking up ZooCamp participants.

All ZooCamp registration is online through Camp and Class Manager. This secure website database will keep your credit card information safe and make it easy to register the same participant for multiple programs. Our registration system requires payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover).

Cancellation and Refund Policy
  • Cancellation 14 days or more before the event = 90% refund of the total balance.
  • Cancellation 8-13 days before the event = 50% refund of the total balance.
  • Cancellation less than 8 days before the event = 0% refund of the total balance.
  • No refunds are issued due to camper absences, including absences due to illness.
  • There is no fee or penalty for transferring from one class to another within the same school break camp program if space is available (Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break). However, if you register online for a new class then cancel your original registration, the standard cancellation fees apply.
  • To cancel, transfer from one session to another, or make other changes to your ZooCamp registration, please call the (510) 632-9525 ext. 280 or email the ZooCamp Registrar.
  • Registrations are non-transferable
Other Important Information
  • Classes are designed for children to participate independently. Parents are not allowed to stay with their children. Participants must be able to toilet independently.
