Ticket pricing varies daily based on the Plan-Ahead Pricing ticketing system. Plan-Ahead Pricing allows you to book your zoo visit in advance while keeping your budget and schedule in mind.
Please note that ticket prices may vary daily. The closer you book to the date of your visit, the higher the ticket price may be. To ensure that you get the best ticket price for your visit, we recommend that you book your tickets as far in advance as possible.
The Gondola transit is included in admission.
Children under 2 years of age, and seniors 76 and over are FREE.
Child tickets are 15% off an Adult ticket.
Senior tickets are 10% off an Adult ticket.

Parking at the Zoo costs $13 per vehicle for General Admission guests when purchased in advance. Parking passes purchased at entry are $16. Parking is free for Oakland Zoo Members.
We encourage General Admission guests to purchase parking online, in advance, while purchasing admission tickets.
If you purchased daytime admission tickets without parking, and would like to purchase a parking pass in advance, please visit our parking only webstore.
Upon arrival, General Admission guests will be asked to present their pre-purchased parking ticket. If you do not have a parking ticket when you arrive, you will be asked to purchase one prior to entry.
We encourage our guests to alleviate traffic and parking challenges around the Zoo by taking public transportation or ride-share services.
The direct route to Oakland Zoo, Line 46, is temporarily suspended. Line 46L is available on weekdays only, which drops off right outside the Zoo on Mountain Blvd. & Golf Links Rd. This line stops outside Oakland Zoo hourly, roughly between 6:45am and 8:00pm. For exact times please visit the 46L Line schedule page on AC Transit's website.
*Be advised, there is a half-mile walk from our main gate to the entrance of the Zoo. If assistance is required, please consult with the Public Safety staff located at the main gate. Accommodations are available for those with disabilities.
Oakland Zoo features a variety of dining opportunities for the entire family. In addition to the food options inside the Zoo, visitors are welcome to use the picnic tables and benches, or sprawl out in the meadow. Outside alcohol is not permitted to be brought the zoo. For the safety of the animals, the Zoo does not provide straws.
Oakland residents receive a 25% discount on adult tickets, with an additional 15% off for child tickets and 10% off for senior tickets, made possible by Measure Y. Thank you for your support!

Teachers* receive a 15% discount on daytime admission to the Zoo for themselves and one guest per visit. To receive this discount, tickets must be purchased online, in advance. Use the “Reserve & Buy Tickets” button under General Admission for Nonmembers on our Tickets page and select Teacher Discount. Please note purchases will include a $2 transaction fee.
*Teachers of TK-12 students only. Teachers can be from any U.S. state or region, and must present proof of current employment (e.g., teacher staff ID card, verification from school administrator on official letterhead, recent paystub).
In honor of their service, Oakland Zoo is pleased to offer active-duty military personnel, spouses of active-duty military personnel, and veterans a discount on daytime admission.
