About the Position

Pay Range: To maintain internal equity, we have identified the starting range for this position at the Oakland Zoo as $28.85 - $31.25 per hour. An offer within this range will be determined by the experience and qualifications of a candidate and will be our best and final compensation offer.

Note: This position is primarily an on-site position, with a hybrid schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day remote (optional) per week after evaluation period has ended.

This is a temporary position lasting from January 1 - September 30, 2025, with potential for extension.

The People & Culture team serves a key role at Oakland Zoo, providing dynamic support to our staff while empowering them to thrive throughout their journeys here. The People & Culture Specialist will serve as a subject-matter expert in managing specialized work streams outlined below, and partner closely with other team members to provide general compliance support to employees and managers. They will work both independently and collaboratively within a highly functioning and solution-focused team.
